Builder's Story

Robert and William Kennedy established Kennedy Brothers, Inc. in Chicago in 1969. In 1986, the brothers divided the operation with Bill Kennedy forming the Kennedy Group, based in Chicago. The Kennedy Group now encompasses building operations in Chicago, Austin and San Diego.

Kennedy Development of California, LLC was established in 1994 as a partnership between Bill Kennedy and Michael Galey, who has been affiliated with the Kennedy organizations since 1974. Mike has assembled a team of professionals to carry out the values and goals of Kennedy Development of California using the same vision and leadership of Bill Kennedy and Mike Galey that has brought the Kennedy Group recognition as one of the top privately held builders in the country.

Kennedy Development of California’s goal is to give our buyers what they want most: Space, Choice and Value. We know today’s homebuyer wants “Space”- and plenty of it- while staying within their budget. Walk-in closets, three car garages, extra large bedrooms and bonus rooms are featured in most of our plans. Our distinctive blend of architectural styles with homes situated on half-acre and larger lots provide the look and feel of a custom-home community that Kennedy buyers are searching for.

Our commitment to providing value is achieved by using production building methods while allowing our buyers to include the features most important to them. Our homes include features expected by most buyers, but we also offer a wide range of standard options and upgrades at fair prices and will accommodate custom design changes, depending on scheduling. It is important to us that our buyers have their personal signature on their home.
